The SSS Gears case study describes a Balikpapan FCC train arranged as Power Recovery Turbine, SSS Clutch, Axial Air Compressor, and Steam Turbine. The 23.4MW, 140T Encased clutch application supports flexibility when the power recovery turbine requires maintenance.

The design helps the compressor train continue running with the secondary driver when the power recovery turbine is offline, limiting the risk of refinery interruption around a high-value FCC unit.
